Last Sunday, members of the Ginkgo Organic Gardens Steering Committee (a grandiose moniker: I prefer "Ginkgo Garden-Obsessed Subcollective") met to plan for the 2015 season. We arrayed our packages of seeds in piles on the floor and pored through seed catalogues, mulling decisions such as whether to grow beets for leaves (Bull's Blood) or roots (Detroit Red or Golden). We discussed infrastructure projects, including the new greenhouse that we will install this year in the old dodecahedron bed near the back of the garden. (We also discussed pest management issues, but no need to dwell on that. Springtime! Look--tiny flowers!)
Ginkgo's first Saturday workday will happen Saturday, April 4. Check our assorted spaces (including the Gingko home page, this blog, FaceBook, and Twitter) for details.
